Cash Bash Announced

United Fire/Rescue along with the Fire Department of North Versailles is having a joint cash bash on September 16, 2006. The event will be held at the South Wilmerding Social Hall beginning at 7 o'clock pm. Each ticket contains two numbers which gives each ticket holder the possiblity of winning up to $4,000.00 Tickets are $25.00 each. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win. Food and beer are free!

December 22, 2002:    Santa Claus made his annual visit to East McKeesport by fire truck.  Joining him this year was his lovely wife, Mrs. Claus!  Santa took time out of his very busy schedule to say hello to all of the good little girls and boys in town and to remind them that he would be back in only 3 more days.

October 31, 2002:   UVFR personnel participate in Halloween Safety Patrol from 6 to 8 PM in East McKeesport and Wall.  Our members patrolled the streets in our vehicles and on foot to help keep trick-or-treaters safe.

October 17, 2002:    Fire prevention and safety program for the students of Green Valley Primary School in North Versailles, presented in conjunction with the Fire Department of North Versailles.

October 13, 2002:    Spaghetti Dinner at Station 135.  Nearly 100 dinners were sold.  Thank you for your support!

October 11, 2002:    Fire prevention and safety program for the 4-year-old students of Linway Nursery School at UVFR Station 135.  Pictures coming soon!

October 3, 2002:    Fire prevention and safety program for the 3-year-old students at Linway Nursery School.

September 11, 2002:    Ceremony to honor emergency responders by the staff and students of Green Valley Primary School in North Versailles.  The students had a penny collection drive, and a donation of $110 was made to UVFR.  Thank you, Green Valley students!

September 11, 2002:    Ceremony to honor emergency responders by the staff and students of Westinghouse Middle School in Wilmerding.

December, 2001:    UVFR Ambulance Club Fund Drive letters went out to East McKeesport residents.  Please help support your local emergency medical service!

 Sunday, December 16, 2001:     Santa Claus returned for his annual visit to East McKeesport via fire truck!

Saturday, November 17, 2001:  UVFR 2nd Anniversary Dinner was held at the East McKeesport station.  A wonderful time was had by all.  Receiving plaques of appreciation for their many years of service and selfless dedication to the company were Fire Chief Steve Zamosky and EMS Chief Paul Marcoz Sr.

 Sunday, November 11, 2001: Memorial service for Veterans' Day and the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks.  The service was held at the East McKeesport VFW at 11:00 AM.

Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28, 2001:    Emergency Response to Terrorism: Basic Concepts class was held at UVFR Station 2, East McKeesport.  The instructor was Larry Boyle of Allegheny County Emergency Management.  There was a terrific turnout for this class!

October 11, 2001:    UVFR presented fire safety classes to the students of Green Valley Primary School in North Versailles.

October 3, 2001: 

A National Weather Service Skywarn class was held at UVFR Station 2, East McKeesport, at 6:30 PM.  There was a great turnout of around 30 people.  Participants learned about severe weather conditions and weather safety from a National Weather Service meteorologist.
