History of UVFR
United Volunteer Fire & Rescue was initially established in 1998 when East McKeesport Vol. Fire Co. No. 2 and Wall Volunteer Fire Department decided that it would be in the best interest of both organizations to combine into a new entity. This occurred because of a shortage of volunteers and decreasing revenues.
