Recently UVFR was requested to the area of Lecanto and Victor street in East McKeesport by police to assist with removing an injured feline from a tree.

Members deployed a 24 foot ground ladder and FF/EMT Joe Mays climbed the ladder and removed the animal without incident.

It should be noted that Joe's father, FF/EMT Stacy Mays rescued another injured feline from a tree about 100 feet in the air last year.
